This was the first time that the whole family traveled out to Texas. Our plane left Las Vegas at 12:50am and I had to work until 10:00pm. So they came and picked me up from work and off we went to the airport.
We got to the kids house just about 7:40 with just enough time to walk them to school - or run them to school since I was a tad later than I had planned. While Shelby and Trey were at school, I took Lizi with us. We went to get a little breakfast at McDonalds first, and then went off to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. Since we were all going on less than 1 hour of sleep, and even Lizi's eyes were getting heavy, we decided to pull into the Kroger parking lot and take a 45 minute nap. After our nap, we went to check Shelby and Trey out of school early. We then went to the park right by their school and played on the playground and played hide-and-go-seek.
After playing on the playground, the kids said they were hungry so we went to Dominoes and got some pizza. We took the pizza to the Hilton Garden Inn (where I always stay when I go to Texas) and I went in to see if I could check in early - it was only 1:00pm and check in time wasn't until 3:00. They were happy to check us in so we went to our rooms and ate our pizza.
After Pizza, I took Shelby to the park to play Frisbee, Football, and catch with the baseball and Trey, Jenna, and Alley went swimming while Liz and Lizi went down to the pool and watched. Lizi tried to splash Trey as he swam back and forth.
Shelby and I got back from the park and we played "Don't eat Pete" for a little bit. I then put on Tangled for the kids to watch while ran to Wendy's to get some dinner. After diner, I took Trey back to his house because he forgot to pack his blankets and Shelby and Lizi didn't bring their swimming suits. While we were gone, Shelby and Lizi drew for a little bit and when we got back to the hotel, we got ready for bed.
Quote of the day - After we picked the sleeping arrangements and it was determined that Shelby and I would be in one bed and Trey and Lizi would be in the other bed Trey said, "I don' know...the last time I slept with Lizi in Texas, it didn't work out so good." When I pressed him on why that was he said, "Because we kept talking and laughing after you told us to go to bed."

Shelby's Baptism day!
I was awaken at about 7:15 to Trey asking, "Daddy, how much longer do we have to sleep?" So we all got up and played with Toys for a little bit before having breakfast. After breakfast, I started getting the kids ready for Kiley's baptism (Shelby's cousin). Liz came over from her room to do Shelby's hair, upon Shelby's request.
We got the kids all ready and I took them to the church just before 9:00. I went back to the hotel and rested until about 10:45 when I got a text from their mom saying that they were ready to be picked up. Shelby really wanted to go swimming and the pool was really warm so we hurried back to the hotel and went swimming for just a few minutes before we had to check out of the hotel at 12:00.
After we checked out, we went to McDonalds for lunch and the kids played on the play place for a while. We were going to go to Celebration Park so Liz could do the girls hair for the baptism while Trey and I played, but it was almost impossible to find a place to park so we ended up just driving to the church early and doing it there. When the building coordinator got there, we went in and got changed into our church clothes and got ready for the baptism.
The font had been emptied from earlier so we had to wait few extra minutes while it got filled up again. There was another boy that was being baptized that day as well. Shelby and I went first. The water was a little low but we were able to get her all the way under. After the other boy was baptized and we did the confirmation, we took pictures and played a little around the church. At about 5:15 we left and got something to eat and got some ice cream to celebrate and then went to Celebration park where Jenna came to play catch with us. First we played Frisbee, then football and finally, Trey and I played catch with the baseball. Then we went over to the playground and Alley came to play with us too. We played on the playground until about 7:15 when it was time to take the kids back to their house and time for us to catch our flight back home.
Quote of the day - Shelby: I was built to climb! I'm good at it!
